Allen`s Barbeque & Grill in Gurdon

Went against the girl taking orders suggestion and ordered the chicken bbq salad. Do NOT get the chicken! It was dry, hard and had an acrid taste. Hopefully it was from the wood they smoked it with.

Damn good Ribs! Easy access from I-30. Only down side is ya gotta be bobtail or on a 4-wheeler for parking.

This place is CLOSED! It looked like permanently. No sign but the windows are all covered and boards on the porch. Phone is out of service.

Holy Mac and Cheese this place outshines any of the the bbq places my husband and I have ever been too. They have wonderful prices to fit your families budget and many choices of comfort food. We live in Colorado and came to visit Murfreesboro and decided to venture out to find the best bbq. Well it has been found. They have pork, chicken and beef. We got the chicken and it was incredibly delicious. The Mac and Cheese was heavenly. The service was outstanding! Check this place out!

This is a quick place to eat. The brisket was great, as was the baked potato with pulled pork and cheese. The BBQ sauce they put on, however, was extremely sweet, as was the potato salad. If I was eating here again, I'd order my meal without sauce and add my own as needed at the table, where they have a selection of three different ones.

Went today after not going for awhile and was very disappointed with the potions for price paid. The bbq baked potato was small with hardly any meat or cheese on it. Still tasted ok but not the value it used to be. Probably will not go back.

It's not the best BBQ I've ever eaten, but it's some good stuff! It's filling and the 5 of us all enjoyed it. I would recommend using something other than pork n' beans as a base for your beans (they're too soft an mushy). I loved the jumbo chopped beef sandwich!!

I ordered the pork bbg nachos and the nachos were stale. They happily replaced my meal once I told them they were stale. Nice atmosphere, great tasting beans and delicious pork. Sauce is tangy but good for my taste. Reason for three star is because of the stale nachos on my first plate but they did replace the whole meal. Pies no good might as well run over next door to Wendy’s and get your frosty on.

I have stopped here at least three times over the last 4-5 years when travelling back and forth between Nashville and Dallas. The quality seemed real good the first time I stopped. The last time we stopped, not so much. Hard to put a finger on it, but it just didn't seem to be as tasty as before. The lines outside to get to the "window" to place your order didn't seem as long either. Maybe there is more competition in town. Maybe they were focused on a catering gig that day. Whatever the reason, I got the strong impresseion that the locals were not supporting it like they used to.

Amazing food perfect for a quick filling lunch.

Good service, good food. Allen's was obviously a popular place when I stopped for lunch. It was fairly busy, but the service was friendly and I got my food quickly. The baked beans were very good. The BBQ is sweeter than I prefer, but has decent flavor. Totally a personal thing. My only real complaint is that the parking could use improvement.

Nice little old house converted to a BBQ joint. Great atmosphere. You can see how owner invested in surroundings. Good flavor chopped beef and coleslaw.

This is some down rite awesome food. The food has great flavor and the meat melts in your mouth. My favorite of all is the loaded baked potato. It's undescribable.

Food good. First time here. Out of brisket. Have to stand outside in drizzle to order. Only one there. Since they were out of what my husband wanted i asked her if she'd meet me in dining room and get his alternate order. (Nobody behind me in line). "No we only take orders at window." I had to go back inside find out what he'd like then go back outside. Hmmmm. Not overly impressed. Doubt id go back unless i was ordering to go.

Food was great parking out for the jet skies.

We stopped to get gas across the road and was debating on where to eat. I am a very finicky eater. I got online and was looking for places to eat in the area. I looked at Allen’s Barbque and I told my husband let’s just try that place. It was weird ordering for dine in at the outside window. Food was phenomenal and staff was fantastic, very friendly. I told them we would be back! We were back again the next week. (Our doctors are in Hot Springs) so we make several trips through there. We will be going back again Wednesday. If you are driving through Arkadelphia and you are hungry, this is definitely the place to stop!

Meat animals have bred for centuries to find their way to the privilege and nirvana of the Allen's grills. Hands down, best smoked BBQ.

The place is always clean and the food is always GREAT!! It is a must if you are visiting or just passing thru Arkadelphia.

Made a quick stop here on the way home from a fishing trip to the White River. Charming setting in a renovated older home. Prices are very reasonable, particularly compared to the bloated prices I have grown used to paying for q in south Texas. Food was decent enough, nothing special. I had the pork sandwich, brother and dad had the brisket sandwich. Pork had a good smoky flavor but was a tad dry. Overall, better than getting stuck eating Cracker Barrel again!

Great service and amazing food! I love the ultimate loaded baked potatoes the best! They are so massive and last two meals!! Staff is so friendly and the food is ready incredibly quickly. I also love the environment of the establishment as well. It's a great place to go for great barbecue.

Solid bbq place. Beef and pork ribs are tender & juicy. Tater salad (sour cream and mustard based available), slaw and beans are very good too. Sauce is very sweet. Coke products. Service was real good too. Will eat here again.
